Complete newb here when it comes to downloading / burning.

Yep; windows media player doesn't let you adjust this (at least the versions I had a few yrs back) and I bought Nero in part because of its flexibility in this and other respects. Much better program for doing a lot of burning. Of course, other program such as those folks here can tell you about that are free (?) no doubt can do it too...With Nero when you "build" your CD set list, there is a box right there to click ("no gap between songs" or some such) that hits you over the head...never could find anything like with Media Player...

Yeah, Windows Media Player doesn't have the ability to do it. I wish I would have known that before burning my first disc. That two second pause really kills the 5/8/77 Scarlet->Fire!

You used to be able to pre-set this in itunes; now I see the latest version includes it as "pop-up" in the cd burning program which I have yet to use so I don't know quite how that works.

If you need a copy of the 5-8-77 matrix with Scarlet-Fire as a single track - let me know.

btw William Tell Good job on that Spanish Jam list; I know I'll be keeping it, because I am missing a fair number of them.

Oh, and double check re: Arb's spot-on comment concerning the SetList search missing at least one important show containing Spanish Jam...that has happened before! Crap. Can't trust anyone to do your work for you these days.

I'm pleased to say that I had recommended that one even before your post- and I knew nothing about the 'controversy' concerning the real date before tonight ...

I had no idea they did it so many times so much later...and really, that they did it so few times in the beginning!? Amazing.

When I started this whole biz I was such a lame ass...I must have burned 50 disks before finally figuring there HAD to be a better way...I think I even made up a false ID to ask about it here or said it was "for a friend"...somebody like TigerBolt explained it without making me look too bad.

That requires adjusting the settings on your burn program. Check the help menu under 'burn cd' or 'create cd.'

Download CD Burner XP. It's free and gives you the option of burning a gapless disc.
